§ 2-278. Terms of members.

The parks and recreation commission shall consist of nine members who shall serve a three-year term; however, three members of the first parks and recreation commission shall have their terms extended for a period of an additional two years and three other members of the first commission shall have their terms extended for an additional one year. Those members who will have their terms extended shall be designated by the mayor with the consent of the council; vacancies on the commission shall be filled in the same manner as original appoitments are made.
