§ 22-27. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

City water supply system means the feeder and supply mains, service pipes, hydrants, meters and all their appurtenances, through which the city supplies water to its consumers.

Commissioner means either the director of the department of water supply or the director of public works.

Premises means and includes a lot or part of a lot, a building or a part of a building, a structure, a project or any parcel or tract of land whatsoever, to which water is being, or is to be supplied.
